  Created on the initiative of two friends of long date, Ussellois Claude Cleyrergue and Alréen Gaëtan Frogier, with the support of the Buge Abbot and the Companions of the Joy for the Village, the twinning of the two cities was officialized at the beginning of the Nineties by Doctor Henri Belcour, Senator-Mayor of Ussel and his counterpart Michel Naël, Maire of Auray, balneal Cité of Morbihan close to Valves.
  In October 1994, the public garden of Auray and its menhir, road of Courtine, in Ussel, were inaugurated. The municipality of Auray baptized a place of the name of our commune.
  The Committee of Twinning the purpose of which is to develop the exchanges between the two communes in the cultural fields, artistic, tourist, commercial and sporting, currently prepares its project for 2006.
  In addition to the voyage in Auray fixed the weekend of Pentcôte, actions of partnership in direction of the school young people of the establishment and associations are being studied.
  The Committee of Twinning wants at the same time to promote Ussel and its environment, to allow an opening citizen the other.

  Born from the joint will of the elected officials and the local actors of the 67 communes concerned, the Country High Corrèze has the project to create an ambitious and divided territory.
  The Country High Corrèze is carried by an association, the High Federation of the Country Corrèze, whose members are the Communities of Communes, common the non-member of the Communities of Communes, the SYMA A89 and the Regional Natural reserve of Millevaches in the Limousin.
  The Country is organized in a logic of mission, through tasks of coordinations, animation and mobilization of the various public and private actors of the territory, expressed through the Charter of Development of the Country.
  This country set up a policy of reception in the form of “Local Pole of Reception” in order to facilter the installation and the integration of newcomers on the territory.

• Taï ji quan
  Plusieurs centaines de styles d’arts martiaux (Wushu) différents existent en Chine.
  La pensée traditionnelle chinoise a influencé en profondeur le Taï Ji Quan.
  Les théoriciens de cet art font référence au Yijing (Livre des mutations) aux notions de Bagua (Boxe des 8 trigrammes) de Taï Ji (Principe fondamental) de Yin/Yang (Flux constant) de Wuxing (5 dynamismes).
  Le Taï Ji Quan est ainsi né de la rencontre de techniques énergétiques et de combat avec une pensée philosophique et culturelle traditionnelle.
  Il se distingue de tous les arts martiaux parce qu’il en est la source et par une théorie d’une rare richesse qui représente l’essence du savoir des anciens boxeurs chinois.

• Espace Jeunes 12-17 ans
  Du côté de l’espace jeunes.
  Depuis les vacances scolaires de pâques 2006, l’Espace Jeunes du service Sport-Loisirs-Jeunesse a finalement investi ses nouveaux locaux dans l’ancienne Auberge de Jeunesse (Place Verdun). En attendant la complète rénovation du bâtiment, une seule salle est utilisable. Elle sert à la fois de bureau pour les animateurs et de salle d’accueil pour les jeunes. Quelques activités de détente, telles que console de jeux vidéo (PS2 et Game Cube), musique, multimédia peuvent être pratiquées, ainsi que le montage de projet.
  Dès la rentrée, l’Espace Jeunes inaugurera l’ensemble de son dispositif et permettra d'accueillir dans d'excellentes conditions les jeunes usselois. Ce dernier devrait comprendre :
  Une salle consacrée à la création vidéo (tournage et montage de court-métrage ou de film d’animation)
  Un coin cuisine avec un point d’eau (possibilité d’accueil à midi)
  Une salle consacrée à la musique (salle d’initiation musical et de répétition pour les groupes)
  Une salle d’accueil réservée au Comité des fêtes des jeunes
  Une salle consacrée aux bureaux des animateurs
  Et une salle de détente pourvue de petits matériels (billard, baby-foot…)
  En ce qui concerne les projets de l’année, l’Espace Jeunes et les Activités Loisirs Jeunes proposeront plusieurs soirées, concerts, scènes ouvertes ainsi que des stages et des mini camps durant les vacances scolaires.
  Les thématiques des camps restent à choisir. Nous comptons sur l’investissement des jeunes pour la préparation de ces petits séjours.
  L’Espace Jeune en plus de sa fonction d’accueil et d’écoute des jeunes leur propose des animations, soutient leurs projets.
  L’Espace Jeunes organise la Semaine de la Jeunesse, des scènes ouvertes, des chantiers de jeunes. Il sert de cadre au Comité des Fêtes Jeunes, crée par le Conseil Général des Jeunes.
