Museum of Art and Traditions popular.Museum of France, opened in 1976, the museum is devoted to the history, arts and traditions of the country of Ussel, between the plateau Millevaches, the valley of the Triouzoune and the upper valley of the Dordogne. A museum in several parts: The Bonnot Bay Hotel, 12 rue Michelet This particular hotel eighteenth century is devoted to jobs lost or endangered (forging, weaving, clog, working straw, wood) and domestic life. The tapestry workshops marchois of seventeenth and eighteenth centuries-works' painters-cartonniers "of the twentieth century are presented over the rooms. The museum is open every day from 16 May to 27 September 2009 14h-19h. Out of season, it is open on request. Admission is free. National Museum of Ussel offers this summer: The guided tour in July and August the museum, in the old city, every Thursday at 15h (appointment to the Office of Tourism, place Voltaire) Free.
